Bear Retreat

Have some time to yourself while relaxing in one of the jetted tubs and watching a movie at the same time. Each of the 2 spacious king bed suites has a tub in the room and 2 bathrooms that offer walk-in showers. Other sleeping options are a sleeper sofa in the living room and a futon in the loft to comfortably sleep 8. A flat, paved driveway has space to park 3 cars and is motorcycle friendly. Bear Retreat also has high speed internet if you need to check email while you are here and a washer and dryer to keep you from taking dirty clothes home. Living Room
Open to various areas of the cabin, with comfortable seating and high-reaching ceilings, the living area is a fantastic spot to spend lots of quality time together. Snuggle into one of the oversized leather sofas under a soft blanket with the warmth from the flickering fire (gas), and catch up on some reading. Plan a movie night with a group favorite, some buttery popcorn, and snacks served on the coffee table while watching the big screen TV over the stone fireplace. 

Kick back on the sofa with a glass of wine from the Mountain Valley Winery for an evening chat with the adults or sip some hot cocoa with the kiddos and plan the next day’s outing. Use the coffee table for board games and turn on the ceiling fan if you need a little breeze. Make lots of special memories in this space. 

Kitchen
Whip up meals, snacks, and drinks in this fully equipped kitchen. This space is open to the living area and boasts sleek black appliances and stone countertops for prep and serving. Whether you want to save money and buy all your groceries or have a night out at the Hard Rock Cafe, the refrigerator has room for groceries, as well as any leftovers you might have. There is also a microwave, oven, and range to cover all of your cooking requirements and a dishwasher to help with any cleanup. 

Need a morning cup of joe? You will find a coffeemaker to help you start your day out right, along with a blender, if you want to make adult beverages while you wind down in the evenings. Pop a piece of bread in the toaster and have some fruit for a quick breakfast sitting at the 4-person bar or use the bar for serving snacks during the big game.

Dining Area 
Just steps away from the kitchen and close to the living area, the dining area is a convenient place to eat, have a conversation, catch up on email, or play games. A beautiful blonde wood dining table able to accommodate 6 people is the center of this area. Cook a special, romantic dinner for 2 or have everyone in your group spread out at the 6 seats around the table and take advantage of the 4 bar seats in the kitchen too. Play a hand of Rook, Spades, or hearts with 4 serious card players or pull out the board games (brought from home) and let everyone join in the fun. 

Bedrooms
After a fun day at WonderWorks, everyone will be ready to climb into a comfy, cozy bed and dream of the next adventure tomorrow. Bear Retreat has 2 king-size bed suites, a sleeper sofa in the living area, and a futon in the rec room loft. Each of the suites has a flatscreen TV and a jetted tub right next to the bed. 

Have a long, hot evening soak, dry off, and climb straight into bed. If the hot tub doesn’t put you to sleep, turn on the flatscreen TV and drift off watching a show or use the bedside lamp to read a chapter or two of your book. The kiddos can laugh and talk as they have a sleepover on the sleeper sofa and futon. 

Rec Room/Loft
For more fun and games, escape to the rec room loft that features a pool table and a multicade with lots of games. Have a running pool tournament with all the guests while you are here. Bring drinks and snacks up and sit on the futon sofa while cheering your favorite opponent to victory. If the competition heats up, there is a ceiling fan to cool things off. 

Outdoor Space
Rock in one of the rocking chairs or slowly swing on the porch swing as you drink a hot cup of coffee, watch the sunrise over the mountains, and say good morning to a new day. Grill a few burgers for dinner on the charcoal grill while others play frisbee enjoying the crisp, fresh air in the front yard. Immerse yourself in the warmth of the outdoor hot tub after a long day as you enjoy the sights, sounds and smells of the majestic Smoky Mountains. 

Other Amenities
Toss a load of laundry into the washer or dryer and then head over to Arrowhead Resort’s community pool for a quick swim. Check your email using the high speed internet or do a little work if needed. Keyless entry allows you to start the fun faster and leave without having to check out. 

Local Fun
Bear Retreat is only a mile from the Parkway which is the main road in Pigeon Forge. You can enjoy all the shops, restaurants, events and attractions only minutes from your home away from home.

Flyaway Indoor Skydiving 
Fun for a large group, the whole family, or just a couple of people, indoor skydiving is a great choice. Being inside means you can fly whether it is raining, snowing, or cold. Led by professionals, you are instructed how to fly in a vertical wind tunnel with the feel of skydiving without actually having to jump out of a plane.

Wildwater Rafting
With an experienced guide helping you navigate, this outdoor adventure paddling down the river is exhilarating. The thrill ride is accompanied by breathtaking scenery and usually an opportunity to swim at the end of your trip when the rapids have subsided.  

Dollywood
