All throughout this charming 1-bedroom, 1 ½ -bathroom cabin for 4, find details that will make your stay memorable. Lots of light streams in through the large windows all around the living room, antler lamps and chandeliers add a rustic touch, a 2-person table on the screened-in deck is the perfect place for a cup of coffee, and an inviting kitchen with stainless steel appliances and plenty of counter space is great for making homemade meals while on vacation.

Whether you’re traveling as a couple, with some friends, or as a family, you’ll find the space (1,800 square feet), amenities, and conveniences for a fantastic getaway to the Great Smoky Mountains. Take a break from chores and work and slip away to the cozy High Bear Nation in Pigeon Forge.

Living Room
With soaring ceilings, warm wood walls, and large windows, the living room of High Bear Nation will be the place to gather as a group. When you want some time with the family or with friends, come here to kick back on the sofas, watch some TV on the big screen, or unwind in front of the gas fireplace.

When you just want to laze around the cabin, check out the movie library in the cabin. Pop your favorite in the Blu-ray player or DVD player, pop some popcorn, and relax. Or you can flip on the big screen TV on game day while chowing down on the homemade snacks you made in your fully equipped kitchen.

You’ll have plenty of seating for 4 between the sofa, matching chair, and rocking chair in this space. And you can bring along a board game or some decks of cards and play around here. The room also features rustic touches like black bear figurines, a mountain motif, and log elements to give you that true cabin feel.

Kitchen
Also on the main level is High Bear Nation’s fully equipped kitchen – a treat you won’t find in hotel rooms – loaded with kitchen tools, appliances, and tableware for a romantic couple’s dinner, a laid-back lunch with friends, or a family breakfast before heading into Pigeon Forge. When you don’t feel like going out to eat, or when you just want a late-night snack, you’ll be glad you have this great space.

High Bear Nation’s kitchen boasts stainless steel appliances – a refrigerator, stove/oven, microwave, and dishwasher – along with ample counter space for prepping meals, dishes and glassware, utensils, and a coffeemaker and toaster. If you’re here for the holidays, be sure to check out our blog for in-cabin recipe ideas. Or you can just store your snacks or leftovers here.

Dining Room
After whipping up a tasty meal in your full kitchen, step over to the cabin’s dining room for a peaceful meal in the comfort of your own space. The cool log table and matching chairs sit beneath an antler chandelier and over a mountain-themed rug. You’ll have windows surrounding you for wooded views and sunlight on nice days, giving you a feel you won’t get in downtown restaurants.

If you’re here as a couple, sit down for a romantic meal with some candles and a bottle of local wine. What a great way to celebrate an anniversary, honeymoon, or special occasion! And if you’re not one for sitting down for meals, let the kids use this space for a craft or game area on those days around the cabin.

Bedroom
The bedroom of High Bear Nation is furnished with a log queen-size bed, a cozy quilt, a nightstand with bedside lamp, a dresser, and its own TV when you just don’t want to get out of bed. Here you can climb into your own jetted tub for a soothing bath or look out over the mountains and trees through the window facing out over the deck.

When you get away on vacation, you’re probably looking for some rest and relaxation. The bedroom here gives you a great place to get both. You’ll want to climb into bed early and sleep in late in this warm and inviting room.

Loft
If you’re traveling with more than 2, the loft in High Bear Nation provides some extra sleeping space. Pull out the sleeper sofa at night or use this space for another living room. It features its own TV, a lamp for afternoon reading, and a coffee table where you can set out your snacks and drinks (or rest your glasses during a nap!).

The loft is also the place for entertainment, with an air hockey table and a checkers table! Play around here while taking in mountain and tree-lined views through the windows or glancing over the loft to see what’s happening downstairs.

Outdoor Spaces
What’s a Pigeon Forge vacation without some time in the great outdoors? Take advantage of the great spaces at High Bear Nation for those mountain and wooded views you’ve been dreaming of. There are plenty of great amenities outside, so you could spend almost your whole vacation relaxing here if you wanted to.

If you love cookouts, take advantage of the grill on the deck. Or you can just relax in the padded rocking chairs that even feature a lamp in between. You can grab a book and sit here – with the wind in your hair – on beautiful Smoky Mountain days. And at night, climb into the hot tub on the covered deck to relax and look out over the mountains. As the stars shine above, let the hot water soothe those tired muscles.

For a blend of the indoors and outdoors, head over to the screened-in porch for a cup of coffee at the 2-person table or in the gliding bench looking out over the trees. You won’t even have to leave your cabin to enjoy the splendor of the Smokies!

Other amenities
With 1 ½ bathrooms, High Bear Nation makes getting ready to head into town a bit easier. Both also feature that classic cabin décor. Want to stay connected while you’re away? You’ll have wireless internet in the cabin, so you can check emails, see what’s happening downtown via our blog, or just browse away while you’re hanging out.

The cabin also has a washer/dryer, which is always nice when you’ve spent days hiking in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park or playing around on a hot day downtown. You’ll even have paved parking and a ramp up to the cabin for easier arrivals!

Great location right near the heart of Pigeon Forge but scenic and peaceful all at the same time. Had just the right amount of character and amenities to make it feel like a true getaway vacation. We will be making a return visit.
