Dolly Parton’s Stampede

While visiting Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on a family vacation, a getaway with friends, a couples’ retreat, or a business gathering, you’ll have plenty of entertainment options in town. The busy Parkway is lined with miniature golf courses, arcades, go-kart tracks, boutique and outlet shops, local and chain restaurants, family-friendly attractions, and of course — Dolly Parton’s Stampede Dinner Attraction!

Dolly Parton’s Stampede is one of the most popular dinner shows in Pigeon Forge, and not just because its namesake, Dolly Parton, is a beloved area native. This family-friendly dinner attraction — complete with pre-show entertainment, a 4-course feast, horseback riding stunts, high-energy music, special effects, incredible costumes, and audience interaction — has earned a reputation all on its own!

Pre-Show Entertainment

As visitors pull up to Dolly Parton’s Stampede in Pigeon Forge, TN, the exterior of the building gives the first glimpse into what lies ahead. The barn-style building towers high along the Parkway and perfectly matches the theme of the show inside. Arrive about 50-60 minutes early for pre-show entertainment (included in your ticket price) that features a meet-and-greet with the horses and live entertainment in The Saloon.

The Horse Walk

Visitors can meet the horse stars of Dolly Parton’s Stampede at the open-air stables. These beautiful Quarter Horses and Palominos are enchanting up close, and it’s neat to know the names of them as they trot and dance in the arena. So be sure to stop by and say hello and good luck before heading inside.

The Saloon

Southern Belles welcome guests into The Saloon for some mountain music, along with nice refreshments. The opening act, Mountain Ruckus, gets things started with a high-energy performance of comedy and bluegrass. Guests can get popcorn, peanuts, cold Coca-Cola®, and fruity non-alcoholic drinks in a collector series souvenir boot mug. It’s a great way to start the night before the real show begins!

Dolly Parton’s Stampede

After the opening act in The Saloon, visitors are ushered into the 35,000-square-foot arena for the main event — Dolly Parton’s Stampede. The show is all about a friendly competition between the North and South and features impressive horse riding stunts, amazing lighting and sound effects, wowing pyrotechnics, and a fantastic musical production. Of course, the show also features real stampeding bison!

Incredible trick riders and their 32 gorgeous horses impress both kids and adults. Skeeter and Nugget keep the crowd in stitches with knee-slapping comedy routines. Talented dancers and singers add to the fun experience. And at the end of the show, you get to participate and help the North or South win. On top of all that, the show comes with a hearty 4-course feast that ends with a delicious dessert!
